- Follow the instructions as indicated in the lesson titled 'Procedure and Guidelines' - PREWORK.
- Remove the battery.
- Depress the battery latch and rotate it out to remove the reserve battery cover.
- Pull the reserve battery straight out of the computer base.
- Disconnect the reserve battery cable connector from the speaker connector.
Note:Term reserve battery is usually used by Dell. This is the CMOS/motherboard battery.CMOS battery on most models is accessible via a "door" on the bottom of the battery. Usually this is near the same access door as wireless cards use nowadays OR is under the keyboard.
