Replacing the Motherboard |
- Transfer components from the existing motherboard to the replacement motherboard:
- Remove the memory modules and install them on the replacement motherboard.
- Remove the heat-sink assembly and processor from the existing system board and transfer them to the replacement motherboard.
- Adjust the replacement motherboard by aligning the notches on the bottom of the motherboard with the tabs on the computer.
- Slide the motherboard assembly toward the back of the computer until the assembly clicks into position.
- Replace any components and cables that you had removed from the motherboard.
- Reconnect all cables to their connectors at the back of the computer.
- Close the computer cover.
