Installing a PC Card |
- Follow the instructions in caution and guidelines.
- Open the cover.
- Lay the computer on its side so that the system board is on the bottom of the inside of the computer.
- Press the lever on the card retention arm and raise the retention arm.
- If you are installing a new card, remove the filler bracket to create a card-slot opening.
- Place the card in the connector and press down firmly. Ensure that the card is fully seated in the slot.
- Press the retention arm into place, securing the card in the computer.
- Connect any cable that should be attached to the card. (Sometimes some cards will have cables which need to be connected to the motherboard.)

- Close the cover.
- Connect all the cables and start the computer.
- Install the necessary drivers.
