The installation manuals are printed material that is provided to the user when he/she purchases a product. In case of computer these manuals can be in printed form or in the form of software manuals.
For hardware components like motherboard or a monitor a user manual must be provided. Apart from other information, a manual would include the basic form factors and the operational standards and basic troubleshooting guidelines.
For Microsoft Windows though there is printed manual provided along with the original operating system CD-ROM; Help feature is available in the software form. The printed manual may not be as extensive as the software Help option.
The help option is found on the Start menu and on almost every Window that is opened on the desktop. The help Window would open with a list of links to the most basic functions offered. The Window will also have a search box where the user can type the key words to find the desired help.
