Running Automatic Skip Driver Agent

Click on the image to zoom

There are two methods to access Automatic Skip Driver:

Method 1:

  • On the Run command box (found on start menu) Type ASD & click OK.

Method 2:

  • Open the System information Window (click Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Information)

  • Select the Tools menu and select Automatic Skip Driver Agent.

If Automatic Skip Driver Agent is unable to locate any errors it will give out a message that there are no current ASD critical operation failures on the machine.

If ASD agent finds a problem device or devices, it will list the devices skipped. Putting a check mark beside the devices can recheck these devices. The next time the system is rebooted ASD will run again and if those devices are still disabled then the problem may be found in that hardware or in the BIOS.
