Any newly added device will have to be removed or its driver may be updated. In some cases the CMOS settings might need modification. For Example for newly installed SCSI devices, the SCSI controller will have to be enabled in the CMOS for few systems. For any newly installed device it is always a good practice to install the device drivers that are compatible with the operating system.

In few cases the failed services errors are generated due to corrupt operating system. In such cases, the operating system may need to be reinstalled. If the error started after a new software installation then the software could be uninstalled if the system can boot to Safe mode.
