To install additional Windows Components in Windows XP you can follow the following steps:
Select Start>> select Control Panel from the menu.
On the Control Panel screen, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
On the Add or Remove Programs screen, select Add/Remove Windows Components from the menu on the left side of the screen to launch Windows Components Wizard.
The Windows Components Wizard screen, displays the following components in Windows XP operating system:
- Accessories and Utilities
- Fax Service
- Indexing Service
- Internet Explorer
- Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Management and Monitoring Tools
- Message Queuing
- MSN Explorer
- Networking Services
- Other Network File and Print Services
- Update Root Certificates
To install/uninstall any component, check/uncheck the checkbox displayed against the windows component.
To list the components included in each category, select the component, and click Details button.
Perform the instructions as indicated on the screens, which follow to install any component.
