These options define the behavior and options available to the operating system. Let us now look into some details of installation options. There are four types of setup options available. Click on the setup options that you need and click next. Default selection is of Typical setting.
The four available choices are:
Typical: Typical setting is one of the easiest settings you can opt for. If you are not sure about how to install or proceed with the installation then you should choose typical settings. In typical settings the computer by default selects the default options and will ask minimum questions to complete the installation. You can always choose to add the additional components that you did not install during the installation. You can go to Add/Remove Programs and select Windows components and select whatever you want to install. For Windows 2000, in Add/Remove Programs there will be separate tabs for Additional network and services.
