Prerequisites:
You need to check your hardware configuration and see if it is capable of handling Windows 2000 professional. You can use HCL to check for compatible devices.
If there is a hardware conflict you should have the device drivers for Windows 2000.
The hard disk should be partitioned and formatted. The size of partition should be minimum 1 GB.
You should have the installation disk for Windows 2000 Professional.
If you wish to perform a network installation then you should have a network card with network booting capabilities.
