Installing Windows 2000 Professional (Cont...)

Prerequisites:

  1. You need to check your hardware configuration and see if it is capable of handling Windows 2000 professional. You can use HCL to check for compatible devices.

  2. If there is a hardware conflict you should have the device drivers for Windows 2000.

  3. The hard disk should be partitioned and formatted. The size of partition should be minimum 1 GB.

  4. You should have the installation disk for Windows 2000 Professional.

  5. If you wish to perform a network installation then you should have a network card with network booting capabilities.
