Installing Part-I:

Start the computer from the Setup disk. You will be presented with a menu with two options:
Boot from hard disk
Boot with CD-ROM support
Since the Hard disk is new and empty we will choose the option 2.
When the computer finishes the boot process make a note of the drive letter assigned for the CDROM drive. The Windows 98 will create a virtual drive and loads all the tools to carry out the installation. Usually this drive letter will be E. After the installation of the OS this virtual drive will disappear
At the DOS prompt (a:\) modify the drive letter to the virtual drive created i.e., e:\. This virtual drive represents CDROM drive. Type setup and then press enter (E:\ setup)
