Installing Windows 98

Installing Windows 98 is very easy simple. Maintaining this operating system is also very easy. It is important to understand the various versions available for the operating system. There are three major versions available and they are

  1. Windows 98 Original Version

  2. Windows 98 OEM Edition

  3. Windows 98SE

There is not much of a difference between these versions except that Windows 98SE has Internet Connection Sharing(ICS). The original edition is called the original version or the first release. After that many minor modifications like adding of service packs and facilitating new device drivers happened and finally after that the second version called OEM version was released into the market. Since then OEM has been updated constantly.

Before we begin let us look into the prerequisites of installing Windows 98.
