Windows 98:

You can also create the disk from the DOS command line.

  • cd windows\command

  • bootdisk a:

The following items have been added to the Windows 98 Startup Disk that was not included on Windows 95 Startup Disk.

  • Startup Menu

  • Real-Mode IDE CD-ROM support

  • Real-Mode SCSI CD-ROM support

  • Edb.cab file ( These are Cabinet files containing extract utilities)

  • RAMDrive

  • New extract command: Ext.exe
