Task Manager

The NT Task Manager is a useful tool for viewing system's performance. It is very useful in locating and isolating bottlenecks and system failures.

Task Manager can be launched by

  • Right-click over an empty area of the Taskbar >> Select Task Manager from the popup menu, or

  • Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring the Windows Security window and click Task Manager button

Task Manager has three tabs and they are:

  1. Applications Tab- It displays a list of applications that are currently active as well as each application's status.

  2. Processes Tab- It lists all processes that are currently active and loaded in memory and displays several metrics or details about each process.

  3. Performance Tab- The Performance tab displays graphs of CPU and memory usage.
