The input devices are used to give input to the computer. There are many input devices that are used in a computer. These input devices translate the given instructions into electrical signals (digital signals), which are understood by the computer.
Typical input devices include keyboard and mouse; these are found in almost all computers. There are other types of input devices also which are not so popular, like touch screen, light pen, plotters and scanners.
The most important and widely used input device is the Keyboard.
